Our company takes on the repair and restoration of carbonated concrete. The work includes the following steps:
» Remove the carbonated concrete blocks and loose items. The removal is done by the following methods according to the extent of the operation. For minor operations, we can use electric compressors with chisel weighing up to 6kg, air hammer weighing up to 6kg of 0,7MPa pressure, wire brush, wire brush on angle frinder. For major operations we can use water jetting of 10-20MPa medium pressure, water jetting of 40-50MPa high pressure, sandblasting, spraying with diluted hydrochloric acid etc.
» Thorough cleaning of the surface
» Impregnation with reinforced concrete steel corrosion inhibitor
» Creation of an adhesion bridge and additional protection against the corrosion of the reinforcement.
» Replacement of the removed concrete section with thixotropic cement mortar used for layers of 0,3-3cm thickness. For thicker layer coating, a second layer is applied in after the first layer of mortar is completed.
